Inspections
With over 15 years estates management experience, we at Four Winds Drones are uniquely positioned to offer aerial inspections of your property, estate, or assets, using our extensive knowledge of the built environment, historic buildings and land assets.
Due the rising cost of materials and a labour shortage in construction, tighter financial budgets and lack of training in accessing areas of height, using drone technology to inspect assets and property has become a go to choice for many businesses in the UK.
In addition to the substantial cost savings that can be made, drone inspections and surveys provide detailed findings while minimising the risk of a physical inspection and the potential for accidents.
We at Four Winds Drones have utilised our extensive knowledge to offer tailored solutions in inspecting and surveying. We can offer a basic photographic inspection of a property in a timely manner, avoiding lengthy waiting times for a contractor or costly and complicated access arrangements like cherrypickers or scaffolding.
If you require something more detailed, we can also provide laser measurement and 3D modeling using our specialist drones.
Vision
We are not just operators, we understand where and what to look for, asking questions and probing further into the query, looking for how we can provide the most support.
Integrity
Some areas are difficult to inspect, and we understand that this can lead to costly and intrusive investigations and repairs, or expensive insurance claims if left unchecked, that is why we can support you, your business or organisation with our tailored inspections using the latest technology.
Accuracy
Details matter, and we ensure that the images and data we collect, are of the highest quality, providing the most amount of information possible to enable the customer to make informed decisions.
Case study
It is not uncommon for new build properties in the UK to have a snagging list once completed, but the roof structure often does not present an issue until it’s too late. This usually means a stressful and costly experience for both homeowner and house builder.
According to the Home Builders Federation National New Homes Customer Satisfaction Survey published in March 2025, 93.7% of new build buyers reported problems such as snags and defects to their builder since moving in and over a quarter (26.2%) reported more than 15 snags.
Mr Bryan contacted us regarding his new build property that he and his family had purchased two years ago.
His initial request was relating to animals getting into the roof void, but he also had some concerns regarding the condition of the roof and chimney structure as this had not been inspected in the snagging list.
He asked for a full inspection of the roof, including dormer windows, gutters, ridge line, chimney, fascias and soffits and brickwork.
Our inspection from our HHSRS property inspector took an hour to complete and we were able to determine several areas of snagging in our report.

Client feedback…
I recently used Four Winds Drone Services for an aerial survey of my roof due to a long and arduous battle with the developer about the quality of the work and potential faults/damage, and I was extremely impressed. Right from my initial inquiry Richard made me feel at ease and was professional, efficient, and provided high-quality images and data that gave me a clear overview of the site.
I had a lot of specific areas I needed looking at that were not easy to access and he talked me to through each and every part of the process to ensure I was happy. He made all the necessary provisions prior to the visit ensuring he had clearance to fly as well as notifying neighbours, ensured safety was paramount, all whilst allowing me ask questions and make requests.
He found four seperate issues I would never have been aware of if it was not for the images and videos, which has potentially save me thousands of pounds.
The detail captured was outstanding and helped me make informed decisions much faster than traditional survey methods that would have required scaffolding. I’ve now submitted the evidence and the developer has agreed to carry out the works with immediate effect.
I would highly recommend his services to anyone needing accurate, reliable aerial surveying you won’t regret it!
